We decided to take Olivia for her first visit to the pumpkin patch! She LOVED it! We went through the corn maze, walked around the pumpkin patch and Olivia made us meet everyone we came across. She sure is a little social butterfly, and my goodness does she love everyone! After attempting to eat a corn cob, a smushed pumpkin and a grasshopper, it was obviously time to head home.

I wanna fit in to the perfect space, feel natural & safe in a volatile place.

It seems as though my whole world has been in an out of reach tidepool as of late. the feeling happens every fall, when I start to just not feel good enough. I feel I need to do more, see more & feel more.

as much as I sometimes most of the time love my job, I often feel as if it means nothing. it is so insignificant in the art world and starts to feel mundane in my life goals as well. it is so discouraging the more i find out what my future will look like. and I know I need something more. I need something more to do the travels I want, to explore the world the way I want to.

there's got to be something more.

Life lately, according to my phone.

The sound of Autumn.

This autumn is seriously turning out to be incredible. Thus far Mike & I bought tickets for next month to go see Minus the Bear & New Found Glory at the National, one of our favourite venues (and where we had our first date). So we are planning on staying the night in Richmond after the MTB show, sightseeing the day after and finishing up the trip with the NFG show.

Then, Alley let me know about Avett Brothers coming to Tech in November, which I refuse to miss. AND Ginny wants me to go to Owl City the day after Avett in DC. So Ginny will be staying the night with us and we will leave for DC the next day for the Owl City show.

Good stuff!

Home is where you are.

September 12th.

For the past few months, there has been nothing but stress going on in our lives. We have been agonizing over whether or not to move, trying to find a place & trying to make it work. It looks like things are finally starting to come together, and hopefully we can move into our new home within the next couple of months. A friend of ours owns a duplex and we will be living in the upper half, if everything goes according to plan with her current tenant being evicted. As much as I love Christiansburg, our lives have taken us to Roanoke. We are having a serious downgrade from our amazing and beautiful home right now, but in the long run this place will allow us to save up to actually buy a home, where we can do whatever we would like with it. Mike will also is hoping to look for a new job, because his is just awful and It will be a huge change in our lives to move back to the city and such a smaller house, but I know in the end it's the best for our little family.

Lovely Finds {Camera Love}

Life lately, according to my phone.

Long time no write, eh? Miss Emily was saying how much she missed my writing, so I decided to give it a go again. As much as I love Tumblr, you can only write so much before people don't care what you have to say.

In recent news, I turned twenty-five, we got a pup named Olivia, are looking for a place to live in Roanoke, and we are starting the underclass season at work. Plenty to keep us busy!
