with our busy schedules, it isn't very often mike & i get to visit his family up in baltimore. we are very blessed to have mike's parents so close to home, but we only get to see mike's brother, sister in law and little niece just a few short times during the year. we were so excited when our schedules matched up for us to go visit the day after thanksgiving. our time was spent with family, eating amazing food and on our last day of the visit before heading home we were able to sneak away and take a look at mike's old neighborhood in little italy by the inner harbor. i have been in love with the inner harbor ever since our 8th grade class trip to the east coast and when one of my dear friends katherine interned at johns' hopkins a few years ago i couldn't wait to go back and visit the city. in one of the photos you can see a movie screen on the side of a building. ironically enough, mike's home was right where i was standing while taking the photo. and the crazy part? katherine and i literally sat in front of mike's door step to watch the movie. who could have thought years later we would be together and so in love? i could have even seen him walking down the street.
the river is everywhere.
